Overview:
With the rise of Shib Inu coin, becoming the 9th most popular coin, an excellent question is how do I mine this coin? Currently there isn't POW for Shib so the only way to "mine" the coin is by using another algorithm and automatically converting it into Shib. In this article we will go over a simple program called UnMineable, show you how to set it up (CPU or GPU mining) and discuss profitability.

Part 2: Changing Where Google Chrome Downloads Files
Part 3: Running the Program
Part 4: 24 Hour Test

Windows Defender Exclusion:
To get started we will first download the UnMineable software located: Here. There is a good chance that Windows defender will block the application from being downloaded. To get around this we will add in a Windows defender exclusion. To do this create a folder in your download section named UnMineable, navigate over to the Virus & threat protection setting in Windows. Click on Add or remove exclusions, add an exclusion and navigate to the downloads folder and select the new folder we created. This will allow anything to be downloaded into this folder, so make sure you don't accidently download anything else to this folder.

How To Download to this Folder:
All browsers will automatically download files to the downloads folder by default. For this tutorial we will show you how to change this setting inside of Google Chrome. To select which folder the file gets downloaded to first open up Google Chrome. On the top right of the tab there will be three dots, this will bring up the Google Chrome settings, click on it then click on settings. Expand the advanced tab and select downloads. In the download settings you can change where files will automatically be saved or switch Google Chrome to ask where to save each file before downloading. This will allow you to download the file to the folder we just created the exclusion for.

Setting up UnMineable:

After the file is downloaded, open up the folder and run the application as Administrator and follow the set-up process in the application. UnMineable allows you to either mine with your CPU or GPU. I would highly recommend using another mining program if you want to GPU mine but this program is useful for CPU mining coins other than Monero. This program will use the RandomX mining algorithm for Monero while CPU mining but will automatically convert the coins into Shiba Inu.

UnMineable supports many different coins that you can select to Mine. Just put in the wallet address for the coin you are mining and hit the start button!

Once you start mining there is a cog wheel at the bottom left hand side of the application. If you click on this you can change the mining intensity and enter in a referral code. Entering in a code will reduce your mining fee by 0.25%. If you don't have any friends or family mining you can use my code here: ium6-b6hm
Testing with a Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor:
I ran a 24 hour test at the low intensity on one of my mining rigs. This processor gets around 620 hashes and generates around 700 Shiba Inu in a day. With the current payout limit being 1,500,000 SHIB, this means I would have to CPU mine for 2,500 days before I got my first payout of around $124.86 USD at a current price of $0.00008324 per coin. Compared to other processors like the Ryzen 9 3900X, which gets around 5,700 hashes per second, it is not worth mining on this CUP. Not to mention the other stability issues you run into while GPU mining at the same time. However it is fun to see the number of coins go up so fast and it doesn't hurt to try. CPU mining takes less energy than GPU mining and worse case I pay an extra $5 a month on electricity.
